# GAP & Protection Products Explained

**GAP** (Guaranteed Asset Protection) and extended protection products help safeguard your investment-especially valuable when financing.

## What GAP Does

If your financed vehicle is totaled in an accident, your insurance payout might cover less than what you owe the lender-the "gap." GAP insurance covers that difference, so you're not stuck paying for a car you can no longer drive. It's especially helpful early in your loan, when you owe more than the vehicle's value.

## Other Protective Products

**Extended service coverage** (also called service contracts) covers repairs after the manufacturer warranty expires. **Paint/fabric protection** guards against stains and damage. **Wheel & tire coverage** replaces damaged wheels and tires beyond wear-and-tear.

## Should You Get It?

If you're financing and keeping the vehicle long-term, GAP is wise insurance. Protection products depend on your risk tolerance and how long you'll own the car. There's no pressure-our finance team presents options and lets you decide.
