Fuel economy is measured in miles per gallon (MPG) or, for electric vehicles, miles per kilowatt-hour. The higher the number, the farther you go on a gallon of fuel-or a charge.

**How to Compare**
Look for the EPA label in listings and on vehicles. It shows combined MPG (a mix of city and highway driving), plus separate city and highway numbers. Real-world mileage often differs-highway typically beats the combined rating, and aggressive driving lowers it.

**What Affects It**
Engine type (smaller or turbocharged engines often win), transmission, vehicle weight, aerodynamics, and your driving habits all matter. AWD and 4WD reduce efficiency versus 2WD.

**Electrified Options**
Chevrolet's EV lineup-Blazer EV, Equinox EV, Bolt, and Silverado EV-offers zero-emission driving and lower fuel costs over time. Hybrids are also worth exploring for a balance of efficiency and range.

Our team at Castle Chevrolet McHenry can show you real EPA ratings and help you model long-term fuel savings. Call (779) 600-2956 or browse our current inventory.
