Both send power to all four wheels, but they work differently-and suit different needs.

**All-Wheel Drive (AWD)**
AWD is automatic and always on. It sends power to whichever wheels have the most grip, improving traction on wet, snowy, or slippery roads. It's transparent (you don't think about it) and fuel-efficient relative to 4WD. Best for: daily driving in variable weather, and drivers who want extra traction without the complexity.

**Four-Wheel Drive (4WD)**
4WD lets you shift between 2WD (for efficiency) and 4WD (for rough terrain or deep snow). High range gives torque for towing; low range is for true off-road crawling. Best for: truck owners who tow, venture off pavement, or live in severe-winter regions.

**Real Differences**
AWD doesn't improve off-road capability like 4WD does. 4WD uses more fuel and adds cost. AWD is simpler and works great for most drivers.

**Chevrolet Options**
Equinox, Traverse, Tahoe, and Suburban offer AWD. Silverado and Colorado trucks offer both AWD and 4WD. Our team can help match your climate and driving to the right choice. Call (779) 600-2956.
